A catastrophic tropical storm devastated southeast Texas on August 25, 2017. While the national news coverage has slowed, the flood damage still remains for local Houston residents who were displaced from their home. Hurricane Harvey made landfall as a Category 4 hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 130 mph and top rainfall reported at approximately 61 inches. The worst flooding disaster in U.S. history, many of the people affected by Harvey are still in need of shelter, food, comfort, and critical support services.
